Alexandra Burke 'Beyonce Called Me Her Friend'

Alexandra Burke has revealed that Beyonce sees her as a friend.

The two met and bonded in 2008, when Knowles duetted with Burke during the final of The X Factor (which Alex went on to win).

Explaining how the pair are still in touch, Alexandra said: "[Beyonce] came into the studio to see me recently and when she walked in I literally screamed in her face.

"She said I didn't need to cry because we were now friends - but that set me off." Burke wrote in the News of The World.

"Beyoncé can't call me her friend, can she? Wow! Working with her would be incredible - she is the best singer out there, after all."

Alex is also planning to launch her career in the U.S. this year, but admits she is nervous about going overseas.

"It's scary and loads of things are rushing through my mind about trying to crack America," she said.

"Having success there would be an amazing achievement. But I have to say that even taking on Europe scares me too!"
